Who can enter
- Massachusetts-based home service and trade contractors (roofing, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, masonry, paving, landscaping, remodeling, painting, siding and windows, tree service and similar)
- In business for at least 2 years, registered and in good standing in Massachusetts
- Entry submitted by an owner or authorized representative, 18 or older
- One entry per business
Not eligible
- Current We Market MA clients, and businesses that were clients in the 12 months before entries open
- Employees of We Market MA and their immediate families
- Businesses whose main service area is covered by an exclusive agreement with an existing client in the same trade
How we judge
This isn’t a raffle. Eli Ruben and Michael Lopez, the co-owners of We Market MA, will score every complete entry using the same criteria:
Business story
Clarity, authenticity and specifics about your business, its owner and its customers
Growth goals
How clear, specific and realistic your goals for the business are
Capacity for growth
Whether your business can take on and serve more local customers
Local search opportunity
How much your trade and service area stand to gain from better local search visibility
Buying something, booking a call, being a client or opting in to texts does not change your score.
Why give away a year of SEO?
Because we’d rather prove what we do on a real Massachusetts business than tell you about it in an ad. Does it cost anything to enter?
No. Entry is free and no purchase is necessary to enter or win.
How is the winner picked?
By judging, not a random drawing. Eli and Michael score every complete entry on the criteria above. Ties are broken on the business story score, never by chance.
When do I find out?
Monday, Nov 16, 2026, by email, and by text if you opted in to texts.
What exactly does the winner get?
Twelve months of our Growth Guarantee package at no cost. Approximate retail value $30,200. Full details are in the Official Rules.
Do I have to be a current client?
No. Current clients, and businesses that were clients in the 12 months before entries open, can’t enter.
Does booking a call or buying anything help my entry?
No. Entries are scored only on the published criteria. Buying something, booking a call, being a client or opting in to texts does not change your score.
What happens after the 12 months?
Service ends automatically. There’s no automatic renewal and nothing to buy. If you want to keep going, you can sign a new agreement at our rates at that time.
Is the prize taxable?
Yes. The prize is taxable income at its value, even though no money changes hands. We’ll collect a W-9 from the winner and issue any required tax forms. Talk to your accountant.
Do I have to do a testimonial or case study if I win?
No. Photos, videos, testimonials and case studies are optional and never a condition of the prize.
